Fleas are found right across Newcastle and the Hunter region, they can make life very annoying for pets and their owners. Fleas are a blood feeding pest that can cause rashes, itchiness and in some cases can spread diseases such as typhus and even the Bubonic plague!
Fleas like to feed on warm blood and are commonly found on household pets like cats and dog, they can survive on your pet for long periods of time.

Colour: Brown coloured body that is oval shaped from the side and flat from the top. This allows for ease of movement in and around hair follicles. Control and Treatment of Fleas around your Home
A Perimeter Pest Control technician will perform is a thorough inspection of all areas on the property, to determine if there is a flea infestation and the severity.
Once we have determined that fleas are active we will recommend a Treatment which normally consists of using a specific spray combined with a insect growth regulator that would be administered to all non active areas such carpets, skirting boards, in and around furniture, lawn areas, concrete paths and garden beds
For our treatment to be effective we also require the pets owner to complete a flea treatment approved by your Vet.
